Stephen F. Tee
Summary of Practice
Steve Tee joined Gatzke Dillon & Ballance LLP in 1994 and has been a partner of the firm since 2001. Mr. Tee represents private sector clients on a broad range of civil litigation matters, including complex construction claims, business, real estate, insurance, and bodily injury matters.
Mr. Tee’s primary practice area involves the representation of land owners, developers, and general contractors in complex construction defect and contract claims. Mr. Tee has handled virtually every type of construction defect case through both settlement and trial, including those involving master-planned residential developments, mixed-use developments, commercial/office projects, high-rise condominium projects, and various public works, including a municipal golf course. Mr. Tee has also had substantial experience in representing project owners on mechanic’s lien claims and other contract disputes. Mr. Tee also has conducted numerous seminars in the areas of construction defect litigation and construction contract issues.
Mr. Tee is "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating given to lawyers. The rating means that the legal community has rated Mr. Tee's legal ability as very high, and has recognized his professional reliability, diligence, and faithful adherence to ethical standards.
Mr. Tee received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego in 1991, and his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1994.
